Michael Herrera

Michael Herrera is a creative Hair Stylist and Colorist with over two decades of service in the Beverly Hills community. He has trained with L'Oreal, Goldwell and Redken and actively uses these brands in his color practice at the salon. Michael started his career at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills, and continued at several notable salons before coming to Beauty on Robertson.

Being that Michael is a very versatile stylist with many years experience, he loves creating long layered cuts, precise bobs and enjoys working with curly hair and is a master at creating classic men's cuts.

For Fall/Winter 2006, Michael's forecast for color favorites and trends include rich earthy browns, maple or oak blondes, and vivid reds like paprika, ginger and deep plums.

With his rock star looks and gentle, kind demeanor, Michael loves to meet creative and thoughtful people. He is interested in the arts and that passion extends to the local community as well. Michael feels a responsibility to contribute to several local organizations including those that address Women's Recovery, A.I.D.S. and youth organizations.

Along with being a busy stylist, Michael finds time every year to donate his time, and expertise as a Hair/Wig designer for Hamilton High School's Theatre productions every year. He's created looks for their productions of "Chicago", "Thoroughly Modern Millie", and most recently, "Annie Get Your Gun".

Michael works hard to reflect the beauty he finds in the City of Angels and the people who call it home, and we are so thrilled to have him at Beauty on Robertson.

April Tomi

April Tomi began her career more than 20 years ago in Chicago. Her travels have taken her to Seattle and Arizona where she furthered her styling skills before putting down roots in Los Angeles.

Her warm and sincere "it's all about you" nature mixed with her engineers eye for proportion and subtlety will make you feel like her latest masterpiece. She never imposes the latest trend on anyone, rather, she prefers to enhance her client's own style. Catering to L.A.'s discerning fashion forward from, actors, artists, business people to the soccer mom she is within reach to all.

While in Arizona, April worked for Toni & Guy and completed their intense training program. From that training, she brings her precise cutting techniques to Beauty on Robertson. Her cutting technique is among the best in the city as referenced by her loyal clientele and requests for film and T.V. work.

After a thorough consultation, April utilizes the latest techniques in cutting, color, hi-lights, low-lights and HairDreams Hair Extensions to create your individual look. She's also know for her master blow out should you need that perfect hair for an event, photo shoot or wedding. April also is a master at creating classic men's cuts.

April's Fall/Winter 2006 forecast calls for rich, warm chocolate brunette colors. She is happy to see brunettes coming back as she prefers to work with colors that do not over process the hair. She is a master at hi-lighting for blondes but insists that clients maintain their hair and the style is kept simple so that hair is in good condition.

When not working as a busy stylist, you can find April cooking or gardening. She is the mother of two teen age daughters and is actively involved in community events. She loves her clients, family and dogs. Her many years of expertise, and warm demeanor are such a wonderful addition to Beauty on Robertson and we are so happy to have her call the salon home.
